Fort Hays
4:30 pm Early-Bird Meet & Greet
For those who arrive Thursday or before, Fort Hayes has graciously offered to host this welcoming event with a ’32 Ford theme. Participants can enjoy the museum, Dances with Wolves film set, and best of all, half-price tickets to the chuckwagon supper and cowboy variety show. Folks, you haven’t seen true western entertainment until you’ve experienced Fort Hayes. Let the Fort Hayes cowboys treat you to a warm South Dakota welcome.

9:00 am Four different cruises will leave in the morning from various locations chosen by the Counts Car Club (register)

 


Participants can pick their first and second choice cruises, allowing the cruises to be manageable in numbers (no more than 50 cars). Cruises will be one-way, allowing participants to spend time touring on their own after the cruise. Length of cruises will vary but will be no longer than 50 miles (in the curvy roads of the Black Hills, 50 miles can take awhile!)
Noon – 5:00 pm Historic Downtown Rapid City Presidents Walk

A free voluntary event offered by the Rapid City Downtown Association. Stretch your legs on a leisurely walk through the life-size presidential statues tour. Great shopping and history along the way. Prizes available!

Rapid City Cruiser Night - Participants will park on Main Street in downtown Rapid City before the parade starts at 7:00. There will be great dining and live music downtown, so come back after the parade! Thousands of spectators line the streets for this great event. NOTE: This event was originally planned to stage in the Central High School parking lot, but we think it will be much better right in the heart of downtown.

1880 TrainThomas TrainCounts Car Club
9:00 am – 11:00 am
The Black Hills Central Railroad’s 1880 Train presents the Art on Wheels Car Show and “A Day Out with Thomas” in the historic mining town of Hill City. The local Counts of Cobblestone car club will be parking cars on Main Street for the show. Show contestants need to arrive on Main Street in Hill City at 8:00 for parking arrangements and show details.Walk one block to the Black Hills Central Railroad’s train station for a ride behind Thomas the Train. Kids are sure to love this event! You must be an Overdrive registrant to be eligible for show & shine awards. Come early for breakfast in one of our great restaurants! (register)

Car Parts Carnival in downtown Hill City

Wild Wheels Night at Bear Country U.S.A.
This one-of-a-kind car show is what past Overdrive participants called “The Crown Jewel” of the weekend. Experience wild rides in a wild environment. Free open-air bus tour through the park where you can view wolves, bears, mountain lions, elk, buffalo, and much more! (register)

Meet at Mount Rushmore for free breakfast and farewell. The top parking ramp will be designated for Overdrive participants only. You’ll be able to shoot photos of your car with Rushmore in the background.
